What will I study?

 

The title of the main qualification is ‘BTEC Level 3 Sports Performance and Excellence’. The qualification is equivalent to 3 A Levels and would give any successful students the entry requirements to University in the USA/UK. BTEC Courses at level 2 are also available as a top up year before the level 3 should it be needed. Please enquire for further details.

 

In addition all students will achieve the FA Level 1 coaching certificate within the course which is a additional NGB qualification. This will allow the student to potential progress with their coaching the USA. Football is a big part of the PSUSA Academy expericence, the BTEC in Sport is a great education partner. The qualifications gained will help with University offers and will increase your employability within different sporting environments.

 

What are the entry requirements?

 

Students will need 5 GCSE’s at grade C or above to access the Level 3 course. Those who cannot provide these may be able to access Level 2 as a top up year, please enquire for further details.

 

How is the PSUSA Academy structured?

 

Days are split with certain amounts to the football development and certain amounts to education. Our education facilities are within the heart of the PlaySoccer USA Arena. The coaching you will receive is from FA A and B :License coaches, with a comprehensive match programme. All PSUSA Academy players will wear the PSUSA Academy clothing throughout their time on the programme. You will be allocated  your own squad number each academic year. The PSUSA Academy is a one of a kind experience and players will benefit from some leading names in coaching and education.

We have open evening throughout the year and dates can be found on our website or calling 01773 302232 Once we receive your application we will look to make you a conditional offer letter if you are predicted the required grades. We will then invite you and your family to a signing day at the facility and you become part of the PSUSA Academy.
